In a groundbreaking move to connect local talent with industry demands, the Kathua administration is set to organize its largest-ever job fair on February 21st. The event will present over 1,000 job openings, with major industry players such as Godrej, Varun Beverages, Cream Bell, LIC, and several other well-established organizations actively participating.
During a press conference today, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rakesh Minhas shared the exciting details of the upcoming fair. “This is the first event of its kind in Kathua, bringing together a diverse range of industries in one place. We are thrilled to offer over 1,000 job opportunities, catering to a variety of qualifications and skill levels, and we encourage eligible candidates to take full advantage of this chance,” said Dr. Minhas.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that the job fair is part of a broader effort by the administration to boost local employment and stimulate economic growth. The available vacancies include 500 positions for candidates with at least a 10th-grade education, 200 openings for those with a 12th-grade qualification, and 300 posts for graduates across various fields. The job roles span numerous sectors, including Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering, Wellness Advisors, Plant Managers, Accounts and Purchase Managers, Graphic Designers, NOC Analysts, Insurance Advisors, Supervisors, Boiler and Machine Operators, Quality Control Operators, Electricians, Fitters, Helpers, Security Guards, Trainees, HR professionals, and positions within the Pharmaceuticals sector.
