Omar-led Govt trying to do all pending works of past 10-years: Deputy Chief Minister

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), calling it a “frustrated” party, and emphasized that responding to their statements is unnecessary. Speaking to the media, Chaudhary stated, “PDP has become irrelevant as the people have rejected it. We can’t keep responding to their statements daily; they just want to remain in the news.”

Chaudhary further highlighted that the current administration is focused on resolving the challenges facing Jammu and Kashmir. He said, “The government is putting every effort into making life easier for the people. The Omar Abdullah-led government is working to address the tasks that were left incomplete over the past 10 years. Though we’ve been in office for just 3.5 months, there is still much work ahead.”

Additionally, the Deputy Chief Minister condemned the use of derogatory language against the martyrs of July 13, stating that such comments are inappropriate. He affirmed that the martyrs, regardless of their community, should be honored for their sacrifices in safeguarding the constitution and the welfare of the people.

Chaudhary also raised questions about the abrogation of Article 370 and the removal of statehood from Jammu and Kashmir. “I want to ask the BJP leaders, if they respected the Maharajas, why then did they strip away the safeguards that were established by them?” he questioned.
