Advocate among 3 arrested in Greater Kailash Robbery

Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested three individuals, including an advocate, from the Bishnah area in relation to the armed robbery at Anand Jewellers in the Greater Kailash area.

Reports suggest that the advocate is believed to be the mastermind behind the heist and has ties to a political party. The robbery occurred in February when armed assailants stormed the jewellery store, looting 1.5 kg of gold and Rs 35,000 in cash. During the heist, the woman owner was taken hostage at knifepoint, while her son, Sanam Anand, was away at a bank.

The incident sparked protests in the area, raising concerns over security. Following an extensive investigation, the police were able to track down and arrest the suspects in Bishnah. Authorities have indicated that further arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
