The Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Jammu carried out search operations at several locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. The raids were part of an investigation into Raees Ahmed Bhat and others, who are suspected of being involved in the unauthorized sale and diversion of Codeine-Based Cough Syrup (CBCS).
During the operation, ED officials seized a range of documentary and digital evidence, along with unexplained cash amounting to Rs. 40.62 lakh and jewellery valued at Rs. 1.61 crore. The investigation is ongoing.
