India defeat Australia to reach Champions Trophy final for 5th time

India secured a thrilling four-wicket victory over Australia in the semi-final of the Champions Trophy 2025, held in Dubai, to reach the final for the fifth time in the tournament’s history.

Australia, batting first, were bowled out for 264 runs in 49.3 overs. India’s bowlers were exceptional, maintaining consistent pressure throughout the innings. In response, India chased down the target in 48.1 overs, losing six wickets along the way. India will now face either South Africa or New Zealand in the final on March 9 (Sunday), as they aim for another Champions Trophy title.
