Jammu, 18 February 2025: In a significant crackdown under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 15 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) during a routine patrol at Chak Bana, Bishnah.
A police team from Police Station Bishnah, led by SHO Sushil Choudhary and under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura, along with the overall guidance of SP Headquarters, intercepted three suspects who attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
- Rakesh Kumar Choudhary, S/o Baldev Raj, R/o Bana Chak, Bishnah.
- Jeet Raj, S/o Som Nath, R/o Khour Dunian, Tehsil RS Pura.
- Navjot Singh, S/o Vikram Singh, R/o Khore Dunian, Tehsil RS Pura.
A thorough search of the suspects led to the recovery of 15 grams of heroin-like substance.
A case under FIR No. 16/2025, Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act, has been registered at Police Station Bishnah, and further investigation is ongoing.
Jammu Police remains committed to combating drug trafficking and urges citizens to report any suspicious activities. The identity of informants providing crucial information will be kept confidential.
