The government has clarified that no non-local residents have been issued a domicile certificate in the Magam and Narbal areas of Budgam district.
Minister for Health and Education, Sakeena Itoo, provided this information while responding to a question raised by Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani. She stated that a total of 18,921 domicile certificates have been issued in Narbal and 26,277 in Magam, but none of these certificates were granted to non-local residents in these two tehsils.
The Minister also mentioned that in Beerwah, a total of 62,343 domicile certificates have been issued, including 52 to non-locals based on marriage.
