Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while presenting the state’s budget on Friday, emphasized that the region is on the path to lasting peace.
This marks the first budget presented by an elected government in the last seven years.
Abdullah also announced an increase in financial aid under the Marriage Assistance Scheme, raising the amount from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000, providing greater support to economically weaker families in Jammu and Kashmir.
