Traffic Police Rural Jammu Issues Advisory for Holi Festival

The Traffic Police Rural Jammu has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of the Holi festival, which will be celebrated tomorrow.

The advisory highlights that the festival will result in increased movement of people and vehicles on the roads. To prevent disruptions in traffic flow, the public is urged to take precautionary measures.

The office has specifically advised the general public in the districts of Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch to avoid wrong parking, rash driving, and to follow motor vehicle rules during the Holi celebrations. Additionally, stunt driving, which often causes accidents and fatalities, should be avoided to ensure everyone’s safety.

Organizers of Holi events, processions, and DJ owners are urged not to play vulgar or provocative songs and slogans using loudspeakers. Drunken driving is strictly discouraged, and the public is advised to maintain lane discipline during religious processions to minimize inconvenience to others.
